Change is easy. It's our resistance to change that
makes it so challenging!
As humans, we crave the familiar, the known routines of our lives. It is these regularities that make the messy experience of being alive seem a little more orderly and a lot more manageable. With the events of recent months and days, the comfort of our patterns has been disrupted in ways none of us anticipated, and it has forced me to bear down and really practice the living principles of yoga - equanimity, detachment and most significantly, loving-kindness to myself and others. As we navigate these uncharted waters, we find ourselves shaken out of the complacency that comes with the familiar, and now in the midst of this discomfort, we have an unparalleled chance to recreate our world.
Let's not let this opportunity slip away.
I invite you to join me in an effort to reshape the world into a place where we remember that we are better together; where we understand that our differences are something to celebrate; where the currency of love has greater
value than anything else manifested in this world.
We can either stand against something, or for something.
Will you stand with me for justice?
For peace?
For a new beginning with a happier ending?
A certain amount of risk comes with all change, but we are more
powerful and resilient than we've been led to believe.
We can do it, so go ahead ... take a chance; be the change!
